We started Refunder
because the system is rigged.

Most people think chargebacks are just for fraud. They're wrong. They're one of the most powerful tools you have to get your money back from a bad deal, and almost nobody knows how to use them. So we wrote the guide.

Why this exists

A friend got charged twice for a mattress. $1,400. The company strung her along for weeks. "We're looking into it." "Please be patient." "Refunds take 90 days." They were running out the clock on purpose. You have 120 days to get your money back from your bank. After that, it's gone for good.

She called the bank. The bank said "we need a reason code." She didn't know what that was. They gave her a list. She picked wrong. The claim was denied.

That same week, one of us was helping a third friend chase $600 Airbnb had quietly moved out of her account. And then another friend, then his neighbor, then a total stranger on a Reddit thread. The same story. Every time.

Here's the dirty secret: banks have to reverse bad charges when the paperwork is right. Merchants know most customers won't figure out the paperwork. That's the whole game.

We're a small team of engineers, designers, and one recovering consumer-protection attorney. We've built payment products, dispute systems, and one of the first AI agents for FTC consumer complaints. We live in the weeds of chargeback rules so you don't have to.

We charge a flat subscription, we keep it affordable, and we don't take a cut of what you win. Our only job is to get your money back, and to be here the next time a company tries to pull something on you.
