Privacy Policy
We take privacy seriously. This policy explains — in plain English — what we collect, why, and what we will never do.
1. Who we are
Tech SG LLC, a company with its address at 3753 Howard Hughes Parkway, Suite 200-778, Las Vegas, NV 89169, will be the controller of your personal data. Tech SG LLC ("we", "us", "our", or "Refunder") operates the website refunder.ai and the web application at app.refunder.ai (together, the "Service").
Refunder is a self-help software tool that helps US consumers build chargeback and refund disputes to file with their own banks and card issuers. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and we do not file disputes on your behalf.

2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: email address, password (hashed), and optional name.
- Dispute details: the charge amount, merchant name, charge date, description from your statement, and your narrative of what happened.
- Evidence you upload: screenshots, emails, receipts, and other files you choose to attach to your case.
- Payment information: if you subscribe, we process payments through Solidgate, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number — Solidgate handles that.
- Support correspondence: emails, chat messages, and feedback you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, approximate region (from IP), and device/browser type — used to improve the Service and troubleshoot bugs.
- Cookies: we use a small number of first-party cookies (authentication, session, and basic analytics). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Information we do not collect
- Full credit or debit card numbers.
- Bank account login credentials.
- Social Security numbers.
- Biometric identifiers.
- Data from third-party data brokers.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide exclusively to:
- Build your dispute — generate the bank letter, pick the correct reason code, assemble your evidence checklist.
- Operate the Service — authenticate you, save your work, and deliver your dispute package.
- Communicate with you — case updates, deadline reminders, support responses, and occasional product updates (you can opt out of non-essential emails).
- Improve the Service — aggregated, anonymized analytics about what works and what doesn't.
- Comply with law — respond to lawful subpoenas, court orders, and regulatory requests.
4. What we never do
- We never sell your personal information.
- We never share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing affiliates.
- We never share the specifics of your dispute (merchant, amount, narrative) with anyone outside our support team.
- We never use your case details to train public AI models.
5. Who we share data with
We share the minimum necessary data with a small set of vetted service providers, under written data-processing agreements:
- Application hosting: cloud infrastructure providers used to run the app, APIs, and supporting data services.
- Website hosting: Vercel (global edge delivery for the refunder.ai marketing site).
- Email delivery: a transactional email provider used to send account, billing, and support emails. Our current provider is listed in our data-processing records, which we share on request.
- Payments: Solidgate (for subscription billing).
- AI providers: we use large-language-model providers to generate dispute drafts. Where available, we use zero-retention agreements so your data is not used to train models and is not retained by the provider.
- Customer support: a helpdesk tool to manage your support requests.
We may also disclose information if required by a valid legal process — subpoena, court order, or government demand — and in that case, we will push back on overbroad requests and notify you where legally permitted.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your account and case data for as long as your account is active, plus up to 24 months afterward so you can come back to a previous case if needed. You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@refunder.ai — we will delete your personal data within 30 days (minus anything we are legally required to retain, such as billing records for tax purposes).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a common, machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of sale/sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising, so this is already the default.
- Non-discrimination — we will not charge you more or give you a worse service for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@refunder.ai. We'll verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended. We treat all Refunder users as if they have these rights — because it's easier, and because it's right. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under CCPA/CPRA.
8. How we protect your data
- Encryption in transit is used for connections to refunder.ai and app.refunder.ai.
- Stored data and backups are protected using security controls provided by our infrastructure vendors.
- Authentication is designed so we do not store plaintext passwords.
- Access to production systems is limited to personnel who need it to operate, secure, and support the Service.
- We review security issues, monitor our systems, and update our safeguards as the Service evolves.
No system is perfect, and we will never claim otherwise. If a security incident ever affects your data, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
9. Children
Refunder is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept them.
